This information is processed in a way that does not personally identify any individual. Just Minded does not allow [Ionos] to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the website. Just Minded uses legitimate interest as the lawful basis for holding and using PII in this way when an individual visits the website. When you contact Just Minded with an enquiry about counselling services, Just Minded will collect PII to enable us to satisfy your enquiry. This will include: name; email address; telephone no.; postal address; brief assessment information (from your disclosures); details of safeguarding issues (these will be shared with you). Alternatively, your GP or other health professional may send Just Minded your details when making a referral, or next of kin/trusted individual may supply your details if making an enquiry about services on your behalf. If you decide not to proceed with any Just Minded services, we will ensure all PII is deleted within 14 days. If you would like me to delete this information sooner, please contact us and we will make best endeavour to meet your request ASAP.
While you are Accessing CounsellingEverything you discuss with a Just Minded Counsellor is confidential, subject to specific exceptions and exemptions (see ‘Limits to Confidentiality’ doc.). I will always try to speak to you about this first, unless there are safeguarding issues that prevent this. Just Minded will keep a record of your personal details to help the counselling services run smoothly. These details are kept securely: paper copies are held in a locked secure cabinet; electronic copies are held on a Just Minded password-protected laptop. These are not shared with any third-party. Just Minded Counsellors are required to keep electronic written notes of each session as part of good professional practice, which are held on a Just Minded password-protected laptop. Text messages will be retained on a Just Minded PIN-locked mobile for the duration of the counselling, as will emails.
After Counselling has EndedOnce counselling has ended your records will be kept for seven [7] years from the end of your contact with Just Minded and are then securely destroyed. If you want Just Minded to delete your PII sooner than this, please discuss this with us – you may be asked to sign a disclaimer as your request will be contrary to practice guidance for healthcare professionals.
Third-Party Recipients of PIIJust Minded may need to share some elements of PII with third-parties who are contracted (e.g., a clinical Supervisor). In such cases, Just Minded will take great care to ensure that any contract with the third-party states what they are allowed to do with PII shared with them and ensure your PII is not used in any way other than the task for which they have been contracted. NB, clinical notes are never shared with third-parties, except in cases of safeguarding or an order from a Court.
